The Murel Waterfalls

The Murel Waterfalls ( Cascades de Murel ) are located 70 km from Le Marouby. They can be reached by car from the village of Forgès. From there, a longer walking route (2-3 hours) can be started, also from the village of Albussac. There are three successive waterfalls that cascade down the steep, wooded Franche-Valeine valley. The water flows through a maze of rocks before flowing gently into the Dordogne River. Good walking shoes are strongly recommended as some parts of the path can be quite challenging.

Cascade de Tines
Much closer to Le Marouby, in Pradines, there is also a waterfall to admire. This waterfall is a 10 km drive from the house and can also be reached on foot at 7.5 km or via one of the hiking trails that start in the abandoned village of Clédat.
