The Corrèze River
The source of the river Corrèze is only a few kilometres from the house. The Corrèze is 95 km long and is a left tributary of the river Vézère. The Vézère is 211 km long and is in turn a major tributary of the Dordogne. The Dordogne is 483 km long and flows into the 'Bay of Biscay', known in some French regions as the 'Gulf of Gascony', which is a bay of the North Atlantic Ocean. The area of the Plateau de Millevaches is also considered the 'Château d'Eau de la France', in English 'France's Water Tower'. The source of the Corrèze river is approximately 4.5 km from the house as the crow flies.
After 4.5 km the river flows into the estate and it already looks like this.
